| Duties: | 1. Plans projects prior to writing code.
2. Writes and debugs DSP algorithms and systems using C, C++, and assembly languages.
3. Produces and documents DSP algorithms using MatLAB
4. Has a working knowledge of the use of source code versioning systems such as Perforce, SVN, CVS, etc.
5. Has a working knowledge of the use of hardware diagnostic tools; including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
6. Provides input for documentation of new or existing programs.
7. Writes utility routines for Windows and OSX and writes code for development purposes.
8. Performs technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology.
9. Interfaces with all departments within company.
10. Demonstrates industry knowledge to assist in new product development.

| Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related exp.
Working knowledge of embedded systems, DSP
Programming exp. Using C, C++ and assembly languages
Highly desired skills:
* Working knowledge of POSIX (QNX, OSX, and/or Linux) system
* Prior exp. performing systems modeling, simulation and analysis in designing compilers, assemblers and utility programs
* Working knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog and advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems
